We recommend that cover letters and resumes be professional prepared in order to obtain the best effect. See our Partner page for a list of recommended resume writers.

Cover Letter Tips
The objective of the cover letter is to present a brief overview of yourself to the employer. By presenting your personal information in a coherent format, your objective is to convince the employer that your skills are valuable to the employer. Below are some tips to aid you in preparing a concise cover letter.

1. Avoid lengthy letters exceeding 1 page. Most cover letters consist of 3 paragraphs.

- Paragraph 1: Brief self-introduction including a description of your career objective.

- Paragraph 2: A short description of your education, skills and other relevant information.

- Paragraph 3: A closing paragraph indicating your salary requirements, contact address and contact number. Ensure that you include your email and fax contact if available.

Resume Tips
The objective of the resume is to present in a concise-manner your educational and professional history. The following tips are valuable in preparing resumes:
1. Keep resumes less than 2 pages long. Most professional resume writers recommend 1 page resumes.

2. When using E-cv.com, the length of the resume submitted by us on your behalf is not as important. Although we do encourage that resumes be concise, length restrictions are not as important for resumes submitted by E-cv.com compared to resumes submitted in traditional hard-copy format.
